What to Expect Over the Weekend

Kickin’ It Old School is all about connection, musicality, and the pure joy of social dancing, echoing the vision highlighted by the Pensacola Swing Dance Society’s classic “Kick It Old School” weekends (pensacolaswingdancesociety.com). Across August 28–30, you’ll enjoy a mix of workshops, social dancing, and friendly contests designed for individual dancers and social dance lovers—no professional background required.

I’ll be teaching sessions focused on partnership, connection, and movement quality, giving you practical tools you can use on the floor the very same night. You’ll also see me on the other side of the floor, judging select divisions to offer fair, encouraging feedback that helps you grow as a dancer.
